AN UPDATE FROM TEAM SNAPSHOTS

Hey Snapshots community,

Today's layoffs at Epic Games are a heavy reminder of the instability of the gaming industry in today's landscape.

We're acutely aware of the pain our friends, families, team members, players, and communities are experiencing. As a result, after careful consideration, we’ve made the decision to delay the upcoming Season 7 launch from April 3 to April 20, 2026. This comes in light of recent changes within our own team and layoffs that have impacted talented individuals who helped shape Fortnite into what it is today.

The team is eager to move Snapshots forward, but we need to balance the Season 7 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.

Out of respect for those affected, we believe it’s important to take this time to support our friends, colleagues, and mentors, and ensure we move forward thoughtfully as a team.
