The future of Battle Royales

Hey squad,

News came out recently that Epic Games will be building future seasons of Fortnite Battle Royale in UEFN by late 2025, with the following explanation: "By using UEFN for Battle Royale it will ensure the tools exceed our needs which means even more amazing features for creators to use in their experiences."

This is incredibly exciting news; the toolset we use to create experiences like Snapshots will continue to evolve and update with huge advancements coming this year to help the Epic team "supercharge" their development, and fit their needs.

Transforming Snapshots into its own game has been the long-term mission and this will be a huge aid to achieving our ultimate goal. By the end of 2024, we hope to position Snapshots as "the Battle Royale built by the players, for the players".

Of course, we can't do this alone: we will continue to scout for your feedback over in our community, so do consider joining and leaving your feedback to help us shape the future of Snapshots.
