HIT THE WAVES

What's the most stylish way to hit the waves? Why, the Surfboard, of course! The Surfboard is well equipped for the rising tide, but doesn't fare so well on land. Hold in your INTERACT key to summon your very own Surfboard at any moment (and do it again to get rid of it).

REFRESHED LOOT

New weapons have washed up:

INFILTRATOR PUMP SHOTGUN

Deals moderate damage at a slightly extended range. Medium spread, maximum style!

SCOPED BURST SMG

Short burst submachine gun with low recoil and a precision scope.

HUNTER-BOLT SNIPER RIFLE

Powerful and accurate rifle with a bolt-action mechanism and magazine containing multiple bullets. Take the shot!

TACTICAL DMR

Powerful marksman rifle with adjustable zoom. Perfect for any distance!

COMBAT PISTOL

The Combat Pistol sports a tight bullet spread and exceptional power, with a fully automatic magazine. This power coincides with strong recoil, so it takes a savvy yielder to reach the Combat Pistol's true potential.

Note: the Starter Weapon has been updated from x1 Uncommon Sidearm Pistol in previous seasons to x1 Uncommon Combat Pistol.

DROPPING IN: THE DROP POD!

Throughout the match, powerful Drop Pods will fall in and offer up high-tier loot for the taking, including the elusive Mythic Infiltrator Pump Shotgun and Scoped Burst SMG, plus the new Super Launch Pad!

These Drop Pods don't come easy: you'll have to battle the dangerous Marauders that spawn at their landing sight to claim your booty!

KINETIC SPIRES UNLEASHED

Looking for a real challenge? The Core Knight Talus has unleashed ancient Spires across the Island. Kinetic Spires are sentient bedrock powered by Kinetic Ore. These Spires are powerful and dangerous so we suggest keeping your distance unless you're ready for a fight.

If you're prepared to battle, get up close to the towering Overlord Spires or the smaller, more frequent Scout Spires scattered about to begin battle! Defeat a Kinetic Spire for a bundle of loot, including one of the unique new reward weapons.

Defeat a Scout Spire to be awarded the elusive Mythic Spire Rifle. This light machine gun boasts a large clip size and increased structural damage that allow users to put significant pressure on enemies. This rifle is ONLY available through this Mythic drop!

Defeat the Overlord Spire to be awarded one of these new Exotic drops at random:

• Trinity Assault Rifle: this Rapid Fire AR fires four shots in a triangle pattern, at the cost of a decreased fire rate.

• Stink Rifle: Hunting Rifle that unleashes a stink cloud on impact.

• Double Trouble Shotguns: Deals high damage and siphons health with each hit. Swap to Double or Trouble with no delay!

• Shock 'n' Slow Launcher: Launcher that lobs Shockwave Grenades that apply a slowdown effect mid-air to both enemies and allies.

• Rift Launcher: Spawns a Rift at the impact point of landed shots.

• (returning) Rocket Jumper: Fires a projectile that explodes to impulse anyone nearby.

Like the Spire Rifle, you can't get these new items anywhere else, so it might be worth the fight!

Sentient Spires are pretty bad, but don't forget to watch out for Spire Spikes pointing out of the terrain on dry land! These spikes will try to knock you back but if you destroy them, they'll drop some handy loot.

TECH FOR A WATER WORLD

New tech has been engineered to aid you in battle:

PORT-A-STRUCTURES

Bunker down with two new Port-a-Structures! Create a quick barricade with the Port-a-Cover, with a sliding door to fire through! Under assault from enemies? Deploy potent cover fast with a reinforced 1x1 Port-A-Bunker!

HARPOON GUN

Pull enemies and items your way, or pull fish out of the water.

Wait... fish? We'll come back to that.

MINI CRASH PADS

These baby Crash Pads have been engineered to avoid fall damage and bounce around.

Launch further than ever! Found exclusively in Drop Pods.

With Venture 2 recently passing its first anniversary, we felt that this is the right time to shake things up! Alongside the new weapons, we've got a fresh slate of unvaults from previous seasons and have vaulted the majority (but not all) of the weapons previously available in Venture 2.

GO FISH!

Grab a Fishing Rod and hit the open waters: it's fishing season! Catch healing fish, spicy fish, smelly fish, space-time-breaking fish, and more fish. Fishy!

FISHING RODS

You'll need one of these (or a Harpoon Gun) to get started. Open a barrel and grab a Fishing Rod or Pro Fishing Rod.

Once you've got your fishing utensil of choice, head to a body of water and catch some goodies:

COMMON FISH

Collect a Small Fry to heal a sliver of health. The bandages of the sea!

UNCOMMON FISH

Chow down on a Flopper for a little extra health. The Stink Fish can be used offensively to create a cloud of gas.

RARE FISH

Shield Fish and Jellyfish will award some Shields, but the Spicy Fish will really put the spring in your step!

EPIC FISH

The Slurpfish is a handy healing item, and the Rift Fish will take you to new worlds.

LEGENDARY FISH

The Thermal Fish gives thermal vision, and the Vendetta Flopper marks nearby enemies.

MYTHIC FISH

The rarest of all. The Midas Flopper will upgrade all applicable weapons you're carrying to Legendary status, and the Mythic Goldfish will instantly eliminate any foe... if you can line up the shot!

The Mythic Goldfish has a 1 in 1,000 chance of dropping. Tag us if you find one!

More fishy friends will join the Island as the water levels recede over the coming weeks.

NOTABLE BALANCING & BUG FIXES IN v14.00

• Removed Glider Redeploy.

• Moved the Disable Reboots trigger to later in the match.

• Decreased respawn wait time from 30s to 20s.

• Resolved an issue causing some players to appear far out in the ocean after the Loading screen, failing to teleport to the game map.

• Fixed an issue where certain Landmarks were incorrectly loading from afar, causing performance issues.
